Instaniche is a cloud-based web-app that lets you install an Amazon affiliate store with a couple of blog articles on WordPress. Supposedly the majority of these sites will rank on the first page within the Google realm and they will start making you money.

Instaniche and Helicopters

Before running the software you will need to buy a domain name for your new site. Either that or they give you the option to buy “domain credits”. I haven’t tried that one because it seems quite expensive to pay 15 bucks for one domain credit when I can buy a simple .org or .info or whatever for a couple of dollars. When you buy your own domain you need to point your domain servers to their hosting.

This means you will never have full control over your hosting and your website. Personally I like to be always in control, but for a couple of niche sites with a potential extra income stream let’s not be too picky. You can also see it as a way to get web hosting for free, because after you set up your store you do have access to the WordPress admin dashboard for your site.

During the launch of Instaniche everyone was promoting this as a 60-second miracle. That is probably partially true. You could go through the whole setup process in maybe not 1 minute but a couple of minutes at most. You would have to use their stock images and pick a few to populate your posts. I found however that for my keyword the images were totally off so I had to go out and find some others that were more relevant to the theme.

Next you use the search function to find a relevant video to populate your page, push a few more buttons and voila, it builds your site for you. So far I only did one site and that took maybe an hour with some tweeking. The next one will probably be faster now I got the hang of how the system works.

Are there any cons?

When you run the site builder you pick a niche and you will be presented with a series of articles for that specific keyword. For my keyword I found that these articles were heavily spun and certainly not 100% readable like they claim them to be. To be honest I wasn’t expecting that, I mean 48,000 articles will most likely not be written without using spintax. I would advise you to verify and tweek your content where necessary.

For some niches there is very little content available. Try “helicopters”.

Your site will come with SEO Yoast plugin pre-installed. After building your posts you will want to go in and tweek every post according to the SEO indications given by the plugin.

I would say Instaniche is a handy tool but that’s what it is, a tool. You will have to put some work in to make your site more attractive to the serps and be able to rank for your keywords. And be okay with the fact that you do not have control of the hosting. As an add-on bonus you could also use Instaniche as an article library to populate your web2.0 properties.

Here’s the biggest caveat though: with Instaniche funneling your visitors to Amazon will set your affiliate cookie for the standard 24 hours. Plus Amazon is actively pushing its customers to the Prime program. Guess what..the prime program doesn’t earn you any affiliate commissions whatsoever. Precisely the reason why I like Fresh Store Builder that comes with a 90-day cookie retainer. Or if you can make the investment in both you can use FSB to build your site and have complete control plus Instaniche to populate your site with relevant content.
